Safety Patrol Greenfield Union is proud to participate in the AAA School Safety Patrol program. Our 7th and 8th-grade students work diligently to ensure the safety of all students, from boarding the bus to entering the school building. Under the guidance of Mrs. A. Jordan and Mr. K. Peterson, our Safety Patrol members, promote safe pedestrian behavior and traffic awareness.
Junior Achievement Through Junior Achievement, our students develop the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in a global economy. Our JA programs inspire young people to dream big, work smart, and live ethically.
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Our ROAR Store rewards positive behavior and academic achievement. Students earn points for demonstrating respect, ownership, accountability, and responsibility. These points can be redeemed for a variety of prizes.
Home Visits We believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential for student success. Our home visit program allows teachers to build relationships with families, discuss student progress, and identify any barriers to learning.
Tutoring Need a little extra help? Our lunchtime tutoring program provides personalized support in a variety of subjects.
Community Partnerships
- DTE Energy: Our students learn about energy conservation and renewable energy through hands-on activities and presentations.
- Peanuts Worldwide: Nutritionists from Peanuts Worldwide educate our students about healthy eating habits and the importance of a balanced diet.

The ROAR Store is a store within our school that promotes positive behavior, good manners, and good deeds. Students earn what we call panther bucks from the school staff when they are exhibiting exceptional behavior and they are allowed to spend their panther bucks within the store each month. The store is run by our students at Greenfield Union 6th-8th graders. To qualify as an employee, you must be interviewed, have a 2.0 GPA, be respectful, and have a recommendation from a staff member. We are very proud of our ROAR store.

AAA School Safety Patrols play an important role in helping young pedestrians learn and fulfill responsibilities regarding traffic safety. Millions of boys and girls have honorably served their classmates since the AAA School Safety Patrol program began in the U.S. This year Greenfield Union institued a Safe Streets Program. 7th and 8th Grade students work to ensure all students board the bus safely; remain seated during travel and enter the school safely. We are proud to have them serve under the guidance of Mrs. A. Jordan and Mr. K. Peterson.

Home visits help parents become more engaged with their child's learning by providing the opportunity to share their expectations for their child as well as what interests and hobbies the child has. Each time a parent completes the home visit questionnaire and brief interview it provides the teacher, school, and district with valuable information to improve the service provided to their family. The visits also help build stronger bonds between the district and the community. Fredrick Douglass said, "It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men ".
