Welcome Back Letter

  • Dear Parents, Students, and Families,

Welcome to the Eagle’s Nest for the 2024-2025 school year at Turning Point Academy! We are thrilled to have you as part of our school community and look forward to an exciting year filled with growth and achievement.

This year, our focus will be on three key areas: attendance, social-emotional growth, and academic excellence. Consistent attendance is essential for student success, and we are committed to working together to ensure that every student attends school regularly and punctually. We also recognize the importance of social-emotional growth and will provide a supportive environment that fosters the well-being of our students. Academic excellence remains at the heart of our mission, and we will continue to deliver rigorous and engaging instruction to help each student reach their full potential.

As we embark on this new journey, we would like to remind you of a few important policies:

    1. Dress Code: All students are required to wear school uniforms. Please refer to the attached sheet for detailed uniform expectations. Adhering to the dress code helps promote a sense of community and minimizes distractions, allowing students to focus on their studies.

    1. Technology Policy: Cell phones, smartwatches, and other personal technology devices are not allowed in the building. If these items are brought to school, they will be placed in a Yondr Pouch and held in the office until the end of the day. This policy helps maintain a focused and productive learning environment.

    1. Visitor Policy: All visitors to the building must present a photo ID. This measure ensures the safety and security of our students and staff.

We are excited to start a new school year and are confident that, together, we can achieve great things. Our dedicated staff is here to support each student in their academic journey, and we encourage you to reach out with any questions or concerns at (313) 347-8895. We look forward to seeing our students bright and early on the first day of school, Monday, August 26, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. --  ready to learn and grow.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Here’s to a fantastic school year ahead!

    Warm regards

    Natasha McGhee,

    Principal
