Festive Fun at Charles H. Wright Academy: Staff Compete in Creative Door Decorating Contest!

The holiday spirit was in full swing at Charles H. Wright Academy of Arts and Science as staff members competed in an unforgettable door decorating contest that had everyone buzzing with excitement! In the Kindergarten through second grade division, Mrs. Lambrecht took home the prize with her enchanting student snow globes design, capturing the magic of the season. Meanwhile, the fifth-grade teaching team, Ms. Parker and Mrs. Tyler, wowed the crowd with a scrumptious gingerbread house, winning the third through fifth grade division for their "smart cookies" theme.

Not to be outdone, Nurse Jacqueline unveiled an extraordinary Despicable Me winter wonderland, delighting everyone with her imaginative and whimsical take on the holidays. The third-grade team—Ms. Thornhill, Mrs. Ballard, Mrs. Heath, Mr. Rucker, and Ms. Washington—embraced the holiday spirit with their adorable "elves at work" door, showcasing their teamwork and creativity. Meanwhile, the middle school team hit the tracks with their Polar Express-themed design, reminding everyone that they were "on the Wright track" toward festive fun and holiday cheer. The media center, beautifully decorated by Ms. Canty, Mrs. Bailey, and Ms. Copeland, was a visual masterpiece, and Pre-K teachers Mrs. Slappy and Mrs. Keane created a magical “Let It Snow” scene that had everyone dreaming of a white Christmas.
