End of the Month Assembly & Homecoming Day Fun!

On a lively Friday afternoon, Crockett Midtown High School buzzed with energy as students gathered in the gym for the End of the Month (EOM) Assembly, perfectly paired with the much-anticipated Homecoming Day festivities. Decked out in school colors and brimming with excitement, students from all grades filled the bleachers, ready to celebrate and unwind together.

Mr. Blanford and Coach Kiel took on hosting duties, keeping the atmosphere upbeat and welcoming. With charisma and humor, they kept the crowd engaged and introduced Ms. CMHS, the beloved Ms. Eboh, who received a warm welcome from students and staff alike. Ms. Eboh shared an inspiring message that highlighted unity, school pride, and the importance of making the most of high school.

After the short messages, it was time for the real fun to begin! First up was the Balloon Pop Race, where students from each grade scrambled to pop as many balloons as possible, racing against each other to loud cheers and laughter. Next, the Tug of War stole the spotlight, with teams digging their heels into the ground, straining and pulling to see which side could claim victory. Spectators hollered, each team vying for the ultimate bragging rights as the strongest squad.

The final highlight of the assembly was the Hustle dance, an essential for any Detroit event. The entire gym became a dance floor as students, teachers, and even Mr. Blanford and Coach Kiel joined in to show off their best moves. The music and energy filled the air, making it clear that this was one of the best Homecoming Days in recent memory.

As the assembly came to a close, students left with a sense of pride and community, ready to make more memories in the year ahead.
