This is a date mandated by the State in which district’s students are counted to determine funding. Every school day matters, and count day is the beginning of a window of days to capture the number of students served. Please see this state-provided overview sheet for details.

Parent Engagement: Winter 2024 Parent Academy Catalog: The 2024 Winter Parent Academy is fresh off the press. First, review the entire book. Next, save the date for the Parents Are Heroes Conference and, finally, RSVP for an upcoming workshop.
ESE Parent Advisory Committee (PAC): DPSCD's Parent Advisory Committee's (PAC) mission is to empower parents, guardians, and grandparents of students with an active Individualized Education Program (IEP) with knowledge, as it relates to their participation in the special education process, delivery of services, and funding for schools. In addition, members will work with key stakeholders to make decisions and recommendations regarding compliance, parent and community involvement, and ongoing issues related to special education.
