Marching Into Reading Month

Barton Students Celebrate Black History and Kick Off Reading Month!

Barton students and staff had an amazing time celebrating the end of Black History Month! Ms. Ellenwood and the Barton Bear Band gave an exciting encore performance of the Black History Musical. The audience also cheered along as the Barton Bear Cheerleaders led fun call-and-response cheers. Principal Adams spoke to students about the importance of being a great scholar, including the power of reading! To start March is Reading Month, students received special Black History Month bookmarks. Everyone is encouraged to keep track of their reading and complete book reviews throughout March. Keep reading, Barton Bears!
