We draw upon the expertise of our educators and work together to create models of outstanding achievement in every classroom. Through implementing high-quality instructional materials and transforming the academic culture in our schools, we challenge and inspire our students to thrive in the world. With a wide variety of academic and enrichment opportunities aligned with state standards, we support students in unlocking their potential as they extend their skills and talents beyond the classroom. Our core curriculum includes:
- English Language Arts - We are committed to nurturing and developing a strong literacy foundation for all students in the early school years by implementing literacy instructional frameworks that prepare students to become independent readers and writers.
- Math - The mathematics curriculum seeks to ensure mathematical competence and confidence in students in mathematics-rich classroom environments.
- Science - Classroom experiences in science are connected to real-world phenomena and provide opportunities to engage in science and engineering practices through exposure to STEM-related career pathways.
- Social Studies - Students gain the content knowledge, intellectual skills, and core democratic values necessary for fulfilling their civic duties in a participatory democracy and effectively engaging in our global society.

- EL Education (English Language Arts): The EL Education model encourages students to think critically and actively engage in their classrooms and communities, leading to higher achievement and deeper engagement. This model follows a read, think, talk, and write approach to fully emerge students in a topic. Students learn how to gain knowledge from texts and share that knowledge with others through speech and written work.
- Eureka Mathematics: Eureka Math® provides a rigorous and cohesive approach that helps students understand the “why” behind math concepts, which makes learning more meaningful and enjoyable. This curriculum uses consistent models and problem-solving strategies across grade levels to ensure concepts stick year after year.
- Science: Students in grades K–5 participate in year-long science courses that foster curiosity and inquiry about the world around them. Through collaboration and hands-on learning, students explore major units using Science and Engineering Practices to deepen their understanding and connect to real-world phenomena.
- Social Studies: Our Social Studies curriculum follows Michigan State Standards, building key historical skills over time. Kindergarten centers on self-awareness and responsibility. Grades 1–3 explore economics, diversity, geography, and local history. In grades 4–5, students dive into world history, government, the impacts of war, and continue learning about Detroit and Michigan.

- Physical Education (P.E.): Our P.E. program promotes fitness, teamwork, and healthy habits through fun, engaging activities. Students build strength, coordination, and sportsmanship to support lifelong wellness.
- Art: In Art class, students explore creativity and self-expression using a variety of materials and techniques. They develop skills in visual storytelling while discovering the joy of artistic creation.
- Physical Education (P.E.): Our P.E. program promotes fitness, teamwork, and healthy habits through fun, engaging activities. Students build strength, coordination, and sportsmanship to support lifelong wellness.
