Ms. Arlana Carter

Arlana DB Carter completed her Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Studies from Empire State College and then her Master’s Degrees in School Guidance Counseling and Mental Health Counseling from Wayne State University. Arlana is licensed as a School Guidance Counselor and a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor. Arlana has over 25 years of experience servicing children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups in the following areas:

Arlana is eclectic and uses a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Reality Based Therapy, Person Centered Therapy and Psycho-Education to individuals age five and up. A holistic approach is utilized by exploring with and educating clients about how mind, spirit and body are interconnected. Her theory is that when people have hope and can learn to challenge and replace irrational thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes people are free to experience change.
