- Overview
-
STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Henderson focuses on STEM curriculum because it invades every part of our lives. STEM Provides a "hands on" approach and "minds on" lesson for the student. Making math and science both fun and interesting helps the student to do much more than just learn.
Girls Code offers free after-school programs for 3rd-5th and 6th-8th grade girls to join our sisterhood of supportive peers and role models using computer science to change the world.

While all middle schools require the four core subjects of English, History, Science and Math, and a half year of Physical Education, most students choose from a menu of classes like band, computers, and technology. At Henderson Academy, electives vary by semester. Henderson will be adding more electives for the 2019-2020 school year.
