I am honored to introduce myself as your new principal. I’m excited to join such a vibrant and dedicated school community. With 28 years of experience in education, I am committed to fostering an environment where every student can achieve their full potential, while also being immersed in the Chinese, French, Japanese or Spanish language and culture.

I am a K-12 product of Detroit Public Schools, with a Bachelor's degree in English and two Master’s degrees–one in English Education and one in Educational Leadership. I have served in various educational roles, including English teacher and Curriculum Coordinator, high school Associate Principal, and most recently, as the principal of an International Baccalaureate K-8 school.

Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to the academic and personal growth of all students. My approach is rooted in the belief that every student deserves a safe, inclusive, and challenging learning environment.

My vision for FLICS is to build on an already strong foundation and strive for continuous improvement. I am committed to working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and community members to ensure that FLICS not only meets but exceeds the expectations of our students and their families. Together, we will foster a culture of respect, responsibility, and resilience.

I am excited to return to DPSCD after 16 years and even more excited about working together to inspire and empower FLICS students to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens.
