Zetia M. Hogan joined the FLICS family July of 2019, following eleven years of service in the greater Detroit area. The earlier years of her career she spent teaching in Cleveland Municipal school district in which she had the privilege of piloting the first K-8 school as a Social Studies teacher. She is a native of Cleveland, Ohio where she attended South High school and earned her undergraduate degree from Central State University in Political Science and a member of the Marching Marauder Band. She earned her education certificate from Ursuline College and her Administrative Leadership certificate from Michigan State University. She also earned her Master’s in Education from Capella University. 

Ms. Hogan believes that building relationships through collaboration is the key to a successful school community. A community where staff and parents are partners, supportive of one another, respectful and focuses on what’s best for the scholars.  Her promise as the leader of FLICS is to build a school community that focuses on the whole child through Core values, character traits, building relationships, high expectations and a growth mind-set. A community that is innovative, take risk, has clear priorities, and standards which creates an environment of Every teacher, Engaging every scholar Every day. 

During her free-time she enjoys spending time with her daughter, bike riding, swimming and traveling.
