Mr. Abraham Sohn
Mr. Abraham Sohn has been working in Detroit schools for the past 8 years. He began his career as a middle school math teacher, and later transitioned to teaching high school Algebra. Since that time he has served as a Dean of School Culture, Instructional Specialist, Assistant Principal, and Principal at various schools across the city. He was an inaugural Detroit Leads Fellow, and has developed his leadership through the TNTP PLUS program, as well as the Harvard New and Aspiring School Leader Program.
A native of Chicago, Mr. Sohn is a graduate of Depaul University where he majored in English. He is a graduate of an International Baccalaureate diploma program, where he studied French and Spanish. He is an avid world traveler, and loves to share his own culture and experience different cultures, especially with students. He is currently re-learning Korean (it was his first language) and hopes to sharpen his foreign language skills while at FLICS.
