Mrs. Tiffany Cox
Tiffany D. Cox has been educating students for 23 years. She is a proud product of Detroit Public Schools encompassing her academic journey from elementary through high school, ultimately graduating from Cass Tech. Mrs. Cox received her Bachelor of Science in Business Education, Certification in Vocational Business Services, and Masters of Educational Leadership from Wayne State University.
Prior to her assignment as Principal of Communication & Media Arts High School (CMA), Mrs. Cox served as Assistant Principal at her alma mater, Cass Tech, for three years. Mrs. Cox served as Assistant Principal at CMA for nine years. During her tenure at CMA she developed lasting relationships with the student body, staff, and families that were instrumental in the school receiving the Michigan Reward School, Bronze Medal, and Silver Medal status from U.S. News & World Report.
Although most of her time has been in administration, Mrs. Cox thoroughly enjoyed her time in the classroom teaching at Beaubien Jr. High, Mumford High School, and Cody High School. It was through this journey as an educator that she adopted the philosophy by an unknown author that “Students don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”
Mrs. Cox, along with her husband and three children, lead a lifestyle dedicated to serving the needs of the people. She is passionate about engaging with students, families, and the community to cultivate a feeling of belonging and achieve academic excellence.
