Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Shalon R. Miller

Shalon R. Miller spent her entire educational career with Detroit Public School Community District. She has had experience in all aspects of education general, exceptional K-8, middle, and high school. She is a native of Toledo, Ohio, and moved to Metro Detroit after being recruited at an HBCU College Teacher’s Fair. AP Miller’s undergraduate degree in Elementary Education was earned at Kentucky State University. Her Master’s Degree in Education Leadership and Specialist in Learning Disabilities K-12 was earned at Wayne State University.

AP Miller’s educational philosophy is that all students deserve access to opportunities that will lead them to become sustainable citizens. It’s our job as educational leaders to guide students toward the best path for a successful future. This successful future will depend on students and families being able to navigate technology effectively. She is excited to serve on the administration team at Communication and Media Arts High School.
