Ms. Principal Christa Reeves
Principal Christa Reeves was recognized as DPSCD Principal of the year for the 2017-2018 Academic school year. She is a product of the Detroit Public Schools Community District; attending Chrysler Elementary School, Burton International Middle School, and Cass Technical High School. She graduated from Southfield High School, and continued her education at Florida A&M University, where she recieved a Bachelor of Arts in English Education, and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from the University of Detroit Mercy. Principal Reeves possesses twenty years of educational experiences in K-12. She taught English and Social Studies primarily on the middle school level. Her administration career has span over 10 years. Before leading Bagley, she was Vice Principal at Cass Technical High School, an examination high school for 5 years.
Principal Reeves is beginning her 3rd year at Bagley. Her vision for the school has come to fruition this year; it is now a new themed Journalism & Technology school, and most recently has exited the Michigan Department of Education's priority school status because of students' growth and proficiency. She attributes this significant accomplishment to the dedication and hard work of her exceptional staff. Principal Reeves is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.
