• Good afternoon, parents,

Count Day was a success! We had over 96% attendance — thank you for ensuring your scholars were present. Every school day matters, and we look forward to continuing to celebrate excellent attendance throughout the week.

This week, we will host our first Perfect Attendance Breakfast of the year. Students who have attended school every day since August 25 will receive an invitation to this special celebration.

Over the summer, we were fortunate to have funds set aside for critical building upgrades. The highly anticipated new Sampson-Webber Gym will be unveiled to students this week! This upgrade was much needed, and I can’t wait for our students to enjoy a safe and beautiful new space.

With this new gym, we’ll be following stricter rules to keep it in top condition:

    • All students must wear gym shoes to participate in physical education.

    • No food is allowed in the gym.

Mr. Bender, our Physical Education teacher, will send home a letter with additional expectations for families of students who have gym this semester.

    Parent-Teacher Conferences
On Wednesday, October 15, students will have an early dismissal at 1:40 p.m. Parents are invited to enter the building at 2:00 p.m. to enjoy a brief Hispanic Heritage Month concert. From 2:30–5:30 p.m., parents will have the opportunity to meet with teachers.

Progress reports were sent home on Friday. Please take time to review your scholar’s report and discuss ways to support their continued success.

Thank you for your partnership and ongoing support!
