      • Academic Games

Academic games for 3rd through 8th grade are coached by Mrs. Hardy and Ms. Gee, with practices on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:40 to 5:40 p.m., during which students prepare for competitions in subjects like mathematics, language arts, social studies, and logic. Participation requires consistent attendance, as students work collaboratively to master concepts and strategies. Parents are responsible for transporting their children to Sampson Webber and picking them up on time. Competitions are an exciting opportunity for students to showcase their knowledge and skills against peers from other schools. The program emphasizes both academic achievement and the development of sportsmanship and problem-solving abilities.

Parents are responsible for ensuring timely pick-up after tutoring sessions. The program emphasizes consistent attendance to maximize academic growth.

Male Mentoring Progam - Black Male Educators Alliance Organization (BMEA)

The Black Male Educators Alliance Organization has partnered with Sampson Webber Academy to mentor males in grades K-5 by partnering them with youth mentors who are in high school and are also Sampson Weber Alumni. They meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 3:40 to 5:30 p.m.

This mentoring program provides guidance, support, and positive role models for young males as they navigate academic and personal challenges. It fosters growth to help young males develop self-confidence, resilience, and a strong character. The program promotes academic achievement and provides assistance with educational goals. Provides guidance on building respectful and positive relationships with peers, family, and the community. Offers emotional support by creating a safe space for young males to discuss challenges, emotions, and experiences. Lastly, it helps to build a community by connecting participants with mentors who can inspire and motivate them to contribute positively to their communities.
