                  Instructor Lyles - Band Room 130

                  ITS BACK!! 

                  Cody High School now offers Band as a course during the day and as an AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITY with Marching Band.  Students that participate learn how to play instruments, march and perform.  Band will not only include those with musical instruments but Flag Girls will be present as well.

                • Credit Recovery

                  CREDIT RECOVERY

                  During the After School Credit Recovery Program, ALL students are allowed to RECOVER CLASS CREDITS needed for graduation.

                  Any student in need to recover credit (meaning they did not receive a passing grade in a class) in order to graduate should visit the Counseling Suite in Room 201 and speak with either Counselor Donoghue or Armstrong.

                  Credit Recovery takes place after school, Mon - Wednesday during the hours of 3:30-6p.  Current Instructional Staff members run the program and assist students with the course work.

                  Assuring that each student at CODY HIGH graduates and more importantly, graduates on time is a priority.

                  ANIME CLUB 

                  Students that are interested in learning about or are already avid fans of Anime would enjoy the ANIME CLUB. It meets once a week and is ran by 2 amazingly fun staff members. 

                  In Anime Club, they watch and discuss Anime and even attend Comic Conventions (Comic Con) on some weekends with students.

                  CODY FILM CLUB

                  For the 1st time ever, a CODY FILM CLUB will be offered to students of Cody High School.  This program is open to all grades and genders.  Students interested in being a part of the CODY FILM CLUB simply need to sign up with Ms. Cheathem in Room 215 to express an interest.  Students with exceptionally bad grades, attendance or behavior will need approval of staff administrators, as we do NOT want the film club to interfere with grades and success of the student’s academic success at Cody High School.  What we do want, however, is for the Cody Film Club to enhance student’s capabilities, behavior and academics.  Student Success is 1st Priority and any student struggling in either of these areas will need to show improvement prior to joining a club that will in fact demand a great amount of attention and discipline in order to succeed.

                   

                  Students enrolled in the CODY FILM CLUB will choose what areas they would like to be educated and trained on – based on the list below:

                  Youth Action Michigan

                  YAM (Youth Action Michigan) offers students a chance to be leaders in their school while refocusing students on things that can keep them on the right track.
