Dear Maybury Parent/Guardian:

I would like to excitedly welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year! We are thrilled that you have chosen us as partners in your child's Elementary school journey! We recognize that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. We know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s educational journey. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities. We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:

1) Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience

2) Completes all homework assignments given by teachers

3) Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills

4) Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life

5) Informs you if he/she needs additional support in any area or subject

Maybury Elementary School is such a special place to learn and grow. We are proud of our beautiful school and have high expectations for each and every student. Our students are kind, compassionate, and resilient. Together with our dedicated staff, we strive to make connections with students to help them feel valued, accepted, and safe. We are a learning community dedicated to building respectful and responsible citizens and empowering all learners! We will continue to guide our mission to provide a rigorous and joyful inclusive school environment. Our overarching goal is to encourage active student engagement to foster a lifetime love for learning.

I’m honored to serve as the principal of Maybury Elementary School. It is great to be a part of a community where students, teachers, and parents care for each other and strive to build meaningful relationships that support academic and social-emotional growth. I look forward to working with you and assisting each student to meet his or her personal goals. Maybury Mustangs let’s make it an awesome year!
