Hamilton has several programs available for the students designed to enhance the learning experience. We are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to foster partnerships with outside sources to bring a new perspective to the school experience.

Girl Scouts

For girls grades, Kindergarten-5th Grade. Meet each Friday. -
Neighborhood Legal Aid STEM Programs
Grades 1-2 learn about where food comes from.
Grades 3-8 learn how to program and fly a drone. Additionally, they learn how to code!

Safety Patrol
The students are selected from middle school based on grades and behavior. Members of the Safety Patrol must remain in good academic standing in all subject areas and model good behavioral choices. Discipline referrals will result in dismissal from safety patrol.
Duties include:
- Hallway monitoring
- Assisting students
- Helping students get to class or designated areas without running
Duties begin promptly at 8:15 a.m. and end at 8:45 a.m. daily.

Student of the Month
Each month, Hamilton teachers choose one student from their classroom to be the Student of the Month representative. Students are chosen based on various characteristics or actions that make them candidates.

Healthy Living
The Healthy Living Program is focused on empowering adults, children and families in underserved communities to take control of their own health. Through a combination of cooking and fitness classes and hands-on nutritional content, program participants learn how diet and exercise directly impact their health. Our Healthy Living Program serves early childhood centers, elementary schools, and local federally qualifying health clinics, helping a wide range of community members.
Healthy Living comes to classes once a week for 8 week sessions and teaches our student different healthy living habits.

Soccer for Success
The Soccer Team is one of our organized co-ed sports led by Coach Nawrocki. The program is available for boys and girls in grades 1-6 and centers around the fundamentals of soccer and team sportsmanship. This program works closely with Detroit PAL and the U.S Soccer Foundation. Students are expected to attend weekly practices after school and all Saturday games. Parents who are interested in volunteering as an assistant coach, please contact the office.
