Our Activities

  • S.W.A.G. The Yunion

In partnership with Wayne County Children and Family Services, the Yuinon's Youth Assistance Program (YAP) provides free after-school programming to at-risk youth from the ages of 7-17. Youth have the opportunity to participate in a number of activities, including our:

    • SWAG (Students With Awareness & Goals) Program
    • Keys 2 Life Mentoring through Music Program
    • Pure Mentoring Program- Girls Only
    • Tutoring/Homework Assistance
    • Individual/Family Counseling
    • Case Management

YAP is designed to assist youth through a holistic approach that may be struggling with issues such as academics, high-risk behaviors, family/social interaction, peer pressure, poor decision- making, and behavioral problems. This includes training related to the substance abuse and teen pregnancy prevention, mentoring, individual and family counseling services, life and social skills building, and academic enrichment

    Girl Scouts

At Girl Scouts, she’ll get to lead her own adventure (it’s her world!) and team up with other girls in an all-girl environment to choose the exciting, hands-on activities that interest her most. Along the way, she’ll gain important skills in four areas that form the foundation of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience:

    • Science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)
    • Outdoors
    • Life Skills
    • Entrepreneurship

    Boy Scouts

Scouting is a year-round program uniquely designed to meet the needs of the full family. The program offers fun and challenging activities that promote character development and physical fitness. Family involvement is an essential part of the program, and parents are encouraged to play an active role in making the most of the short time they have to impact the lives of their children.
