Dear Harms Families, 

Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year! I am excited to welcome you as your new Principal! School will start on Monday, August 26, 2024, with doors opening at 7:25am. The staff has been busy getting ready to welcome our students back! This summer was one of many changes, and we would appreciate your help in welcoming new staff members and our students in the Newcomer Program. The students and staff voted for this school year theme as “Level Up” video games. This theme represents the possibilities of our school community to Level Up our relationships and raise to the next level with our academic success and improving our attendance. Please remember that attendance is an important key to academic success. We do have some new expectations and processes for both attendance and Late Pick-Up.  With your support and the Attendance Agent we will “Level Up” and make the positive changes necessary for the success of all our students.   

Our school is committed to providing your children with high quality instruction. We monitor their learning, and their data continuously. We discuss grades, attendance, behavior, and socio-emotional health. Our teachers review student progress weekly so they can provide the correct support for every student. We have additional support for students who need it, and we challenge those who can handle additional challenges. We practice being respectful, responsible, and safe in all we do. Let’s work together to increase the safety of our students by teaching our children that they must cross the street at the corner during entrance and dismissal.  

We will have our Open House event on September 18th from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Please join us for games, giveaways and a quick tour of our school and classrooms. Check out our new spaces: Our Wellness Room, our Library, and our Indoor-Recess space.  

Remember we always provide every student with FREE SCHOOL SUPPLIES, for use at school.  Also, every student will get free breakfast and lunch.   

We are also providing you with a yearlong calendar with events for our school so that you can plan accordingly. Please keep it handy. We will send monthly reminders of monthly events for your convenience. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Class Dojo and check out our website.
