Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome back to the 2024-2025 school year at John R. King School! We hope you and your family had a restful summer and are as excited as we are for the new academic year.

We are pleased to share that John R. King School has earned a grade of “B” based on several key performance indicators: M-Step proficiency and PSAT results in Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies, as well as I-Ready growth in Math and Reading, and our Culture and Climate scores. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, and the entire school community.

Thank you to everyone who attended our Back-to-School Rally on August 28. Your presence and support were greatly appreciated and helped to make the event a success. We believe that strong parent-school partnerships are crucial for student success, and we are grateful for your involvement.

As we begin this school year, we want to remind you of the importance of regular attendance. It is essential for your scholars to be present every day, ready to learn, as consistent attendance directly impacts their academic progress. Please ensure that all students are picked up promptly at 2:40 PM each day, unless they are riding the bus or walking home.

We had a fantastic first week and are enthusiastic about the opportunities and achievements that lie ahead. To further engage with our school community, we encourage you to complete your volunteer form if you have not already done so. Your participation and support are invaluable and contribute greatly to the enriching environment we strive to create for our students.
