Roderick Thomas

I am the Assistant Principal at Marquette. I am a graduate of M.L. King Jr High School. I earned my Bachelors Degree from Lane College an HBCU, and Masters Degree from Eastern Michgian University.

My first assignment in DPS was at Central High School. From Central, I moved to Noble to serve as the attendance agent. I continued as attendance agent at Marquette until assuming the position of Dean of Culture, and went further to become the Assistant Principal.

When I am not spending time helping young people navigate through their challenges, I enjoy playing basketball and spending time with family and friends.

I believe in the potential of every child I encounter and that each of us has a responsibility to give back to our community.
