Elementary Spelling Bee

Excitement filled the air at Marygrove on Thursday as our 3rd and 4th graders competed in the school’s annual spelling bee. The event, held in the school’s gym, showcased the impressive spelling skills of our scholars.

More than 20 students took the stage, each vying for the title of school champion and a spot in the district wide spelling bee next month. Parents, teachers, and classmates cheered on the contestants as they tackled increasingly challenging words.

After several intense rounds, Harmony, a third-grader, came in first place, by correctly spelling the word “Aluminum”. Khadija came in second place, with Elizabeth in third. The TSM family is incredibly proud of all the hard work every scholar has put into this competition. As the school champions, all three scholars will advance to the district wide spelling bee next month.

Thank you so much to Ms. Lavendar for organizing the spelling bee and Ms. Mulatteri for running the event the day of. Thank you to all our parents and family members for coming out to support our scholars!!
