Bunche Bobcat Debate Team had an outstanding year!

In partnership with the Umoja Debate League, the Bunche Bobcat Debate Team is an academic after-school program for grades 6-8 where students learn how to make their voices heard, strengthen their critical thinking skills and confidence, and develop conflict resolution strategies. The debate team has a school-based coach who represents Bunche, as well as an Umoja debate coach who has experience in formal debate competitions. Students on the team participated in monthly debates against other participating schools within the district and are frequently provided community engagement opportunities throughout the year.
