Bunche Academy shines bright at the Stem Awards!

Bunche Academy was proudly represented at the DPSCD STEM Awards, with accolades from students and faculty. Ms. Thomas's exceptional leadership and guidance were recognized as she was awarded Impact Coach of the Year for Academic Games, a testament to her unwavering commitment to nurturing scholarly excellence. Meanwhile, the students showcased their prowess on the national stage, securing an impressive 2nd place in the National Tournament, a remarkable feat that speaks volumes about their dedication and talent. Additionally, Mr. Dave Carthen's outstanding mentorship saw him clinch Impact Coach of the Year for the chess team, further highlighting the school's culture of academic and strategic excellence.

Not to be outdone, Bunche Academy's chess enthusiasts demonstrated their awesome skills, with Delano Green achieving 2nd place in the National Chess Tournament. Moreover, the collective efforts of the chess team yielded remarkable results, claiming 1st place in both the DPSCD and Metro Detroit Scholastic Chess League competitions. As we extend our heartfelt congratulations to these remarkable individuals and teams, we celebrate their hard work, determination, and achievements, shining examples of the excellence that defines Bunche Academy.
