6th Grade Class Visits the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant Museum

This fall, our 6th-grade students took a trip back in time to the historic Ford Piquette Avenue Plant Museum, the birthplace of the Model T. The field trip gave students a firsthand look at how early automobiles were made and the history behind one of America's most iconic inventions.

The experience was more than just a tour. After exploring the museum, the students had the opportunity to channel their inner engineers. With tissue paper holders and a variety of scrap materials, each student designed and built their own unique "car." The activity allowed them to apply creativity and problem-solving skills, just like the early car makers who revolutionized transportation over a century ago.

It was a day filled with hands-on learning, discovery, and fun. Our students returned with a deeper appreciation of innovation and teamwork, all while proudly showing off their homemade cars.
