Dossin Great Lakes Museum

The excited third-grade students from Mary McLeod Bethune Elementary School went on a special learning trip to the Dossin Great Lakes Museum on beautiful Belle Isle. They couldn't wait to explore the museum and learn about the history of the Great Lakes region. They were amazed as they walked through interactive exhibits about the area's maritime heritage, from busy trade routes to the grand ships that once sailed the wide waters. With eager curiosity, they listened to stories of brave adventures and new inventions that shaped the Great Lakes' history. Each artifact seemed to tell a story of strength and discovery, lighting up their imaginations and giving them a new appreciation for their local maritime history. As they left the museum, their minds were full of new knowledge and a stronger connection to the Great Lakes region.
