Counseling Department

  • Wednesday June 11th, from 5:30-7:30pm you are invited to attend a student and family orientation at one of our three career and technical centers. With growing employment and job opportunities here in Detroit now is the perfect time for your student to receive free training in a skilled trade of their choice while still in high school. 
    Our voc tec offerings provide students with paid internships as well as career and employment skills. At the orientation meeting you can secure your child's place in the program of their choice. 
    Select a location to visit to secure your student a spot and jump-start your students professional training. 
    1. The Breithaupt Career center is located at 9300 Hubbell, Breithaupt offers Automotive Services, Collision Repair, Hospitality and Food Services, Cosmetology, Mechatronics (for those interested in Engineering) as well as Welding.
    2. Golightly Career center is located at 900 Dickerson, with offerings including Aeronautical Flight Training, Computer Networking, Graphics and Printing, Hospitality and Food Services, CNC Machining, and Welding.
    3. Randolph Career center is located at 17101 Hubbell, offering Construction and Building trades, Electrical, HVAC, Painting and Design, Welding, Marketing and Entrepreneurship, as well as Computer Aided Drafting. 
    Visit one of our career and technical centers tomorrow, Wednesday, June 12th from 5:30-7:30 to ensure your students pathway to success.
