We draw upon the expertise of our educators and work together to create models of outstanding achievement in every classroom. Through implementing high-quality instructional materials and transforming the academic culture in our schools, we challenge and inspire our students to thrive in the world. With a wide variety of academics and enrichment opportunities aligned with state standards, we support students in unlocking their potential as they extend their skills and talents beyond the classroom. Our core curriculum includes:
- English Language Arts - We are committed to nurturing and developing a strong literacy foundation for all students in the early school years by implementing literacy instructional frameworks that prepare students to become independent readers and writers.
- Math - The mathematics curriculum seeks to ensure mathematical competence and confidence in students in mathematics-rich classroom environments.
- Science - Classroom experiences in science are connected to real-world phenomena and provide opportunities to engage in science and engineering practices through exposure to STEM-related career pathways.
- Social Studies - Students gain the content knowledge, intellectual skills, and core democratic values necessary for fulling their civic duties in a participatory democracy and effectively engaging in our global society.

English Language Arts
- All 6th-8th grade students participate in a two period block of ELA instruction
- One period is devoted to whole class grade level instruction
- One period is devoted to small-group instruction allowing teachers to monitor progress and provide individualized support
- Academic intervention is provided to students who are critically behind in grade level skills
Math
- All 6th-8th grade students participate in a two period block of math instruction
- One period is devoted to whole class grade level instruction
- One period is devoted to small-group instruction allowing teachers to monitor progress and provide individualized support
Science
- All 6th-8th grade students participate in one period of science instruction
- The curriculum offers the opportunity for students to make scientific connections, interact with one-another and engage in hands-on activities
Social Studies
- All 6th-8th grade students participate in one period of social studies instruction
- District curriculum teaches core democratic values and how to be a citizen within a democracy
- The curriculum offers the opportunity for students to participate in activities and serve on committees that reinforce skills learned

Physical Education
- Grades 6-8
- Students participate in physical activities that are outlined in the district curriculum
- Students learn various skills to increase physical fitness, promote healthy living and working to together
- Written assignments and assessments are provided to reinforce skills learned
Dance Grades
- Grades 6-8
- Students follow district curriculum to learn dance skills that promote physical activity
- Students gain exposure to different types of dance
