  • Girls Scouts offer the best leadership experience for girls! Nolan's Girl Scout Troop consists of Daisies, Brownies, Juniors and Cadettes. The Girls are practicing to be considerate and caring, respecting themselves and others, while being a sister to every Girl Scout.

Building Better Men

  • The Building Better Men Program is a mentoring and leadership development program that enhances the mental, social, and academic development of young males ages 8-18.  At Nolan Elementary Middle school, male students in 4th through 8th grade are program participants.

LIT Club

  • Lit Club is a literacy empowerment program designed to serve a small group of girls or boys ages 10-14. During each session members engage in interactive lessons that focus on reading, writing, and listening attentively. LitClub is a space of joyful, creative expression, community building, and developing social- emotional skills.

Pretty Brown Girls

  • Pretty Brown Girls is dedicated to educating and empowering girls of color. Led by our counselors, Ms. Hickman-Jackson and Ms. Swain, the Pretty Brown Girls meet weekly for mentoring.
    Through a series of curriculum based workshops with interactive activities, PBG's exemplify social, emotional & intellectual well-being "empowering a girl to empower the world!"

STEAM

  • The afterschool STEAM program students had the opportunity to experience completing a science fair project and competing in the Science and Engineering Fair of Metropolitan Detroit. The  Gold medal winners will be going to Chicago as a reward for their hard work.  Our girls are learning to build and program Lego robots to comete against other Robotics students in a Regional competition at Lawrence Technological Univeristy.
