Golightly Career and Technical Center offers Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses to students in a variety of high-wage, high-demand industries. Students have the opportunity to work in real-life situations in the field of their choosing. Golightly students have the opportunity to train with instructors, who come from industry to acquire the skills necessary to be successful in the world of work. Students also have a variety of Work-Based Learning experiences that expose them to what life is really like working in different industries. Golightly students receive instruction in the areas of Graphic Design and Printing, Culinary Arts, Flight Training, and Welding. Students are offered co-curricular opportunities to compete within their chosen programs with organizations such as Business Professionals of America. They also have the opportunity to earn Industry recognized certifications that will help them to gain employment or continue their education. Students at Golightly come from a variety of schools and backgrounds. At the career center there is a focus on teamwork and working toward a common goal that will help students excel for the rest of their lives.
