"Where Second Chances Lead To Greater Comebacks!"

Detroit Lions Academy (D.L.A.) is an Alternative Middle School with a unique program. Our program provides an opportunity for over-age students to get back on the path to success in order to reach high school graduation. Students have a second chance to be successful in a supportive academic and social environment. Detroit Lions Academy provides high quality education face-to-face and virtually. In order to meet each student's needs, we offer smaller classroom sizes to deliver individualized or small group instruction. D.L.A. participates in our district's implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (P.B.I.S.) to improve and encourage positive behaviors and academic outcomes. We proudly stand with our district by supporting the "Expect Respect" campaign. Students are taught positive character traits to help them become respectful individuals that treat others with kindness. Our strong partnership with the Detroit Lions Organization helps us provide incentives, experiences, activities, resources and supports to students and families. If you are looking for a school where your child can take the next step on their academic journey, consider enrolling them at Detroit Lions Academy, where second chances lead to greater comebacks. If you have any questions regarding our program or enrollment you may contact our main office at (313) 852-9677 and a staff member will be pleased to answer any questions that you may have. We appreciate your interest and your investment in your child's future.
