Arrival/Dismissal Procedures

MLK Jr. Senior High School Hours: 8:00 AM-3:20 PM

Early Arrival: Students can arrive at King High School as early as 7:30 AM. They can pick up Grab and Go breakfast and enjoy it in the MLK Cafeteria until 7:55 AM when they are dismissed to their classrooms.

Prompt arrival is crucial. Students must be in their 1st-hour class by the 8:00 AM bell. School doors open at 7:45 AM.

All 9th graders use Door #2. At 8:30 AM, Door #2 students switch to Door #1.

Parents, please keep traffic moving in the MLK Roundabout.

For longer goodbyes, we request parents to use the parking lot for drop-off.

All 10th-12th graders use Door #1.

Dismissal:

9th graders exit through Door #2.

10th-12th graders exit through Door #1

Critical Reminder for Parents: Students are NOT PERMITTED to receive food deliveries at school or leave campus to purchase food. If students need to leave before 2:50 PM, a parent must sign them out in the main office. It is essential to emphasize that students should not use Uber or drive home early.
