  • Become Skilled In Welding and Fabrication!

    • The Welding program provides training in the basic and advanced Welding and Cutting process.

    • Students will learn technical welding skills using modern equipment used in today’s industry

    • Students will learn the required industry safety standards for Welding and General shop safety rules. Welding processes include OXY-ACETEYLENE WELDING, MIG WELDING, FLAME and PLASMA cutting BRAZE WELDING, and METAL FABRICATION

    • These Welding processes will give the students the basic concepts of the Welding and Fabrication industry. Our program will provide the students with the necessary skills and knowledge to build the bridge from school to work, college, or the job market of the 21st century

    Prerequisites: students should be 16 years of age, detailed oriented, knowledge of math, ability to work well with your hands

    Course length: 1 year program - 2nd year segment Q optional

    Wages: Michigan wage for beginning welders • $18-$31 hourly • Underwater welding $79,000-$300,000

    Certificates: National Welding Society and American Welding Society Post-secondary options of study: Wayne County Community College, Macomb Community College, and Schoolcraft College
