Mrs. Antionette Williams-Taylor
She is a proud graduate of Wayne State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Teaching. She has 15 years of experience in human services and 18 years of experience in education. She has worked with Detroit Public Schools Community District in a variety of capacities: Math Teacher, Math Coach, School Improvement Coordinator, Math Instructional Specialist and her present position of Dean of Culture. She is a firm believer that education will open the doors for every student no matter their disability, color, or economic status.
As a Dean of Culture, it is her charge to create a positive climate and culture within Fisher Magnet Lower Academy by cultivating strategies to improve the positive outcomes of both student and staff, while providing the correct and on time intervention strategies for teachers to ensure that behavior issues will not interfere with academic growth. As an administrator, she provides professional development for staff, analyzes data, and collaborates with staff to create management systems that work for our unique population of students, while continuously creating partnerships with community stakeholders and parents to further reach our goal of improved climate and culture, and academic growth.
Through her dedication, work ethic and analytical abilities, she is certain that she will create an atmosphere of high expectations for all students at Fisher Magnet Lower Academy to achieve great success.
