Nicolette Jefferson

Nicolette Jefferson has served Detroit Public Schools Community District for the past 21 years, striving to make lasting connections with students to help them feel valued, accepted, and safe. In her current position as Assistant Principal, she is committed to maximizing academic outcomes by ensuring all students are afforded quality, meaningful instruction. She is a dedicated life-long learner who strives to provide the school community with a transformative educational experience.  

 

Ms. Jefferson’s overarching goal is to encourage dynamic student engagement to foster a lifetime love for learning. She is devoted to making certain Mumford High School is a transformative educational experience where every student is nurtured, challenged, and encouraged to explore their passions, develop critical thinking skills, and become resilient individuals equipped to navigate an ever-changing world.

Tyloaha Parker

Tyloaha Parker was born in Detroit, Michigan.  She is a product of the Oak Park School District.  Tyloaha attended Michigan State University and studied Communication with a specialization in Interpersonal Communication and a cognate in General Business Administration Pre-law.  Subsequently, she continued her educational journey and earned a Master of Educational Leadership and Master of Secondary Education.  In 2022, she earned her Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership at Oakland University.  Currently, she is an educator in the Detroit Public Schools Community District.  She has also served in many capacities in charter schools in the metro Detroit area.  
 
Dr. Parker has been employed with the Detroit Public Schools Community District since 2019 where she started off as a Speech teacher at Mumford High School.  During her time with the district she has led the Electives team, served alongside the National Honors Society team, Assessment team, Instructional Leadership Team, and Senior Class Sponsor for the Class of 2024.
