Mrs. Inger Brooks

Inger Brooks is a native of Bolivar, TN and is a current Detroit resident. She is a proud graduate of Bolivar Central High School, the University of Tennessee at Martin (Bachelor of Science in Social Work), Freed-Hardeman University (Masters in Curriculum and Instruction), and Concordia University (Masters in Educational Leadership). She began her mission over 20 years ago in Detroit Public Schools. During her time as an employee, she began as a classroom teacher, working her way up to assistant principal, then to Instructional Specialist and Program Supervisor at the Central Office Level as a School Improvement Grant Coordinator. Inger now proudly serves as the Assistant Principal of Edmonson Elementary School.

As her mission continues, she plans to support the goals of the Edmonson community through teachings of the Montessori philosophy, encouraging the joy of learning for critical thinkers, helping them move from a concrete to abstract learning focus while developing independence through grace and courtesy.
