Mr. Jerry Tait
Mr. Jerry Tait began his teaching career with Detroit Public Schools in 1996. He has a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education from Wayne State University with a major in math and minor in Science. Mr. Tait received his Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Detroit Mercy and an Ed. Specialist in Educational Administration from Wayne State University. He has taught various grades from Elementary to Middle School Math in Detroit Public Schools. And, has been an administrator for twelve years. Mr. Tait has a passion for students learning, building relationships with parents and staff.
Most recently, he has joined the leadership team at Cooke STEM Academy this year as an Assistant Principal of Instruction. Here at Cooke STEM Academy we pride ourselves on preparing our students to be global leaders of tomorrow with our STEM curriculum, with investing in new activities and initiatives to fully engage our students to foster themselves as future scientist, technologist, engineers, and mathematicians. Mr. Tait looks forward to working with Scholars, parents and staff this year, as we all support our district’s mission of empowering our student’s every day to succeed in being college and career ready.
