Ms. Marcia Hordge

 

Ms. Hordge is an accomplished, results orientated, educator with 20+ years of teaching experience at the middle school level. She has a track record of strong, decisive, and innovative leadership. Ms. Hordge has been at Brenda Scott for 7 years, and excels in this demanding environment, all while remaining pragmatic and focused. Prior to her current assignment as Assistant Principal, Ms. Hordge served as ELA teacher for grades 6-8 and Master Teacher. In 2017, under the Educational Achievement Authority Ms. Hordge was recognized by the board members for her achievements. Ms. Hordge holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wright State University and a Master’s in Education Leadership from Marygrove College. Ms. Hordge is known for her stellar job performance over the years and has had a profound impact on student learning, teaching excellence and overall school performance. She personally embraces and role models an authentic commitment to excellence in education which is pivotal to student achievement. Ms. Hordge is driven to help students at Brenda Scott Academy overcome barriers that impact their learning and promotes teacher best practices in the classroom.
