Darrin Flowers

I am excited to join the Renaissance team as the Assistant Principal overseeing Freshman Transition. I bring over 15 years of experience in education. I began my career as a Social Studies teacher and most recently served as Assistant Principal at the Jesuit Academy of University of Detroit Jesuit High School. Throughout my career, I have remained passionate about helping students adjust to new environments while promoting academic excellence, resilience, and the development of the whole student.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Saginaw Valley State University and two Master's degrees from the University of Detroit Mercy—one in Educational Leadership and the other in Curriculum Design and Implementation. Now transitioning from Catholic to public education, I am excited to bring my experience and energy to our school community, ensuring a strong start and lasting success for every freshman.
