• Greetings Student, Parents, Staff and Community Members,

Welcome back. As I enter my sixth year as Principal, I am truly excited and humbled to serve in this position. I will be entering my 29th year in education, and it still fills my heart with joy working with students and staff.

It takes a village to educate a child. I will work tirelessly to provide 21st century educational leadership services for your children, in addition to building positive and productive working relationships with teachers, staff, parents and the community. As we navigate the current challenges that our society is facing, our teachers, support staff and administrative team are committed to educating your children in a clean, safe and supportive environment.

Noble Elementary-Middle School has highly-qualified teachers who will provide exceptional instructional services to your children. We will continue to implement our district’s EL Education and Eureka Math curriculum, along with the district’s Science, Social Studies curriculum, with fidelity. The EL Education and Eureka Math curricular is proving to be successful in assisting our students to achieve growth and development. I am both humbled and excited to share that Noble has exited the Michigan Department of Education's Priority Schools' List, improved our school grade to a "C", chronic absenteeism has decreased, attendance has increased, both students and staff feel loved, challenged, prepared and respected, and our school climate/culture is conducive to learning and academic achievement. Thank you teachers, support staff, parents and community members for working collectively and supporting our young scholars.

We will continue to use our Support Staff (i.e. Paraprofessionals, Academic Interventionist and City Year Ameri Corps Members) to facilitate small-groups and individualized activities to assist “all” students.

City Year Ameri Corps, Cool Chemistry, Emerging Opals, Pretty Brown Girls, Detroit Police Department Male Mentoring Group, Faith Soars Counseling, Community Lens, Littlefield Community, the Detroit Pistons Legends, the Detroit Red Wings, Greater Southern Baptist Church, DPSCD SAC Council, etc. are additional programs that will continue to be fixtures at Noble. It is truly a blessing to know that our students will have additional support to be successful.

Noble’s Leadership Academy will continue their mission to support our district’s and school’s mission and vision. Our 5th grade students will be engaged in numerous activities that will help them develop their leadership skills while our middle school students will serve as ambassadors, in addition to tutoring and mentoring elementary school students. Our Championship Athletic Program will be in “full force”, once we have been cleared to participate in athletics.

Parental involvement is key to the academic success of students, so we look forward to working with you. There are numerous programs and activities to support you through the district’s Family and Community Engagement Department.

    Noble’s school hours remain: 7:30am to 2:40pm. Half-day dismissal is at 10:45am.

I look forward to meeting you and introducing you to our teachers and support staff. We will continue to have Monthly Parent Meetings, in addition to our Annual Title One Meeting, Open House and Curriculum Nights. More information is forthcoming in reference to dates and times.

I look forward to a positive and productive 2021-2022 school year.
