Black History Program
February is a month for Burns students to celebrate Black History Month. BMH honors those individuals or groups that have achieved successful equality for African Americans across the United States and sometimes the world. Assemblies are headed for students to reenact or honor their African American heroes.

Assemblies
Assemblies are a way to provide important information to a large group of Burns Students a once. Assemblies at Burns take place by grades bands. Kindergarten-2nd, next 3rd grade-5th grade, and lastly 6th grade-8th grade.

Field Trips
Field trips are a way to provide students with different views of the world and from a learning perspective, a different way of learning.

Student Of The Month
Burns Student of the Month falls under Positive Behavior Intervention And Support (P.B.I.S.). PAWS stands for Purposeful Action, Accountability, Working Well With Others, and Scholarly Success. The students who walk on the P.A.W.S. will be rewarded by having their picture taking and displayed on the school student of the month wall.
