Day of Peace
As part of a DPSCD initative, we celebrate a Day of Peace and Healing on the 22nd of every month. Students and staff wear white shirts and make a monthly pledge, "I will work at being a better human being...being more caring, trying kindness instead of fighting, and making the world a place of peace." If the 22nd falls on a weekend, then we celebrate the Friday before.
-
Family Dances
Every year we try to host a Father/Daughter or a Mother/Son dance to give our families an opportunity to show off their dancing skills and just have fun. It's important for us to provide quality time for families outside of the academic world.
-
Field Trips
All grade levels will attend educational field trips that support their academic and cultural development. Teachers coordinate outings based on the curriculum content outlined by the district.

Every October we hosts our Hoot-n-Howl event. Students whose parents attend our October Parent Teacher Conferences are invited to a special trick or treating event where Carleton teachers dress up and pass out candy.
