The students are beginning their year-long STEAM activity learning about Aquaponics. The first task constructing a Water Garden Raft. The Babylons began aquaponics using water garden rafts to grow plants called Chinampas. The students' task was to take straws, popsicle sticks, twine, wax paper, aluminum foil, bubble wrap to create their own chinampas and grow a green bean. The first part of the task was to make a raft that floats. In the picture, you will see the students testing their raft to make sure it floats.
