Eighth Grade Students Get a Taste of Nigera

Recently, the students in 8A ELA had a great time trying African (Nigerian) cuisine. They sampled jollof rice, plantain, beef stew, pounded yam (Fufu), Egusi, and Puff Puff. They also enjoyed their meal with some good, old-fashioned fried chicken!

Some students even got a chance to assist Dr. O with mixing the pounded yam, and they soon realized that it takes a lot of strength to get the desired consistency.

Ask your child what his/her favorite on the menu was.
