    March is a special time for book lovers and educators as it marks March is Reading Month, a nationwide celebration that encourages students of all ages to develop a love for reading.     On March 8, 2025, the Emerson Elementary Middle School Umoja Debate Team Displayed their debate skills claiming 4 honors and 2nd place overall.

    Moments in Black History at Emerson

    February is Black History Month. Emerson celebrated our history in numerous ways. Mr. Watkins held his annual Black History Month Tournament, Mrs. Meyers students completed reports on Black scientists, Ms. Smith and Mrs. Thompson 3rd graders created a "Black History Wall of Dignity," and  students gave daily snippets of notable black Americans over the PA.  Enjoy our "Moments in Black History."
