The Emerson Middle School Book Club 2024-25 Launch

The Emerson Book Club has launched! They are meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:40pm-4:00 PM.

Book clubs have been proven to strengthen critical thinking, reading comprehension, writing skills, communication skills, as well as have cognitive and social benefits. Parents, if you would like your child to become a member of the book Club, please contact Mr. Watkins, middle school social studies teacher.

Our first book will be “Harlem Summer” by Walter Dean Myers. We will also read all kinds of different materials, including comic books, short stories, poetry, fantasy/fictional stories, as well as stories about animals, and magazines.
