Emerson's Umoja Debate Club Takes 2nd Place

The Emerson Eagles Debate Team finished in 2nd place in the Umoja Debate League March 2025 Tournament. There were three competitive debates against David Ellis Academy West, Marcus Garvey and Bates Academy at Wayne State Law School

The Eagles took second place against Bates Academy. The also took home three additional honors: the Garvey-Dubois Honor for Best Evidence, the Garvey-Dubois Honor for Best Rebuttal, and the Garvey-Dubois Honor for Best Synthesis.
