Edison Elementary School is proud to announce the remarkable success of Ms. Thomas' Academic Games team this year. Under her dedicated guidance, the team excelled in the Michigan League of Academic Games 2023-2024 season. Our Edison Academic Game Scholars placed in the Academic Games League of America annual tournament, showcasing their knowledge and critical thinking skills.

 

Throughout the year, the students participated in various competitions at the regional, state, and national levels. They showcased their skillfulness in subjects such as mathematics, language arts, and social studies. Their hard work and commitment paid off as they brought home numerous trophies and accolades. Performing 3rd place in regionals, continuing to 2nd place in Current Events at the state level. The highlight of the season was winning 2nd place in Current Events at Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia.

Ms. Thomas, a seasoned educator passionate about fostering academic excellence, expressed her pride in the team's achievements. "Our students demonstrated outstanding dedication and teamwork," she said. "It's been a joy to see them grow and succeed."  Parents and fellow teachers have praised Ms. Thomas for her exceptional leadership and the positive impact she has had on her students. "Ms. Thomas has created an environment where learning is exciting and students are encouraged to reach their full potential," commented one parent.  As the school year comes to a close, Edison Elementary celebrates the achievements of Ms. Thomas and Edison’s Academic Games team members. Their success is a testament to the power of hard work, perseverance, and the support of a dedicated mentor.
